Edited by Konrad Meisig and Yasuo Ariizumi
This series is intercultural in two ways: on the one hand, it presents results of international and interdisciplinary symposia on comparative cultures, on the other hand it offers research in the area of Buddhist Chinese, thus concentrating on Indian-Chinese interculturality. It combines different fields such as Japanology and Japanese art history, Indology and Indian art history, film studies, educational science, linguistics, literary science, German studies, political science and various research topics on Buddhist Chinese. Thus, East Asia Intercultural Studies offer a platform for research reaching beyond indological studies in a narrow sense.
