Edited by Peter Rehder, Riccardo Nicolosi and Ulrich Schweier

When at the end of the 1950s doctoral dissertations in the humanities had to be published in printed form in Bavaria, too, Alois Schmaus founded Slavistische Beiträge. Since 1960, mostly dissertations on Slavic studies from the German language area, sporadically American, English, and Russian dissertations, and additionally monographs and proceedings have been published in this series. Slavistische Beiträge contain an active sub-series called “Studienhilfen” [study tools].

From 1968 to 2016, they were edited by Peter Rehder. Vol. 1 - 500 were published by Verlag Otto Sagner, vol. 501 - 504 by Gabriele Schäfer Verlag. From vol. 505 on, the series has been published by Harrassowitz, now with the editors Peter Rehder, Ulrich Schweier, Riccardo Nicolosi.
