Series » Antiquity » Studia Chaburensia
Edited by Hartmut Kühne

Geographically encompassing Upper Mesopotamia and its border areas in modern Turkey, Syria, Iran, and Iraq, this series is devoted to the study of regional as well as supra-regional themes of macro- and micro-history, material culture, environment, dynamics of settlement, rural and urban living, economy, administration, and social systems. Due to the challenging interrelations of these topics, its aim is to stimulate the investigation of development and change within the longue durée of civilization. With respect to chronology, the series does not predefine any particular (pre-) historical period of the region. Nevertheless, it emphasizes the multifaceted history and culture of Assyria.
