Edited by the German Archaeological Institute Cairo
In 1970, the series Archäologischen Veröffentlichungen was founded in order to evaluate the excavation results of the German Archaeological Institute Cairo (DAI Cairo) and make it accessible to the public. Therefore, the series focuses on the publication of excavation reports, detailed studies on archaeological material and comprehensive analyses within the context of the work of the DAI Cairo.
With more than 85 published volumes, the Archäologischen Veröffentlichungen provides a thorough insight into the manifold aspects of the excavations of the DAIK and its cooperation partners. In this regard, the series is acclaimed for being one of the most renowned series in Egyptian archaeology.
