The Research Center for Oriental Christianity (FSCO) was founded in 2009 at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. In cooperation with domestic and foreign universities, research institutions and foundations, it initiates and conducts research projects and lectures on Oriental Christianity. Therefore, the FSCO is in close contact with its partner institutions in the Christian Orient. The object of its works is the ecclesiastical and social life of Oriental Christians from the beginnings to the present. Special attention is given to the preservation and exploitation of their threatened cultural heritage. In its own series of publications, the FSCO publishes the results of its research on diverse questions of the Science of the Christian Orient.
