Philippika Prize
Philippika Dissertation Prize by Harrassowitz Verlag
Since 2011 Harrassowitz, together with the editors of the series „Philippika“, has awarded the Philippika Prize for outstanding interdisciplinary dissertations in Ancient Studies.

The prize is awarded annually to outstanding dissertations in the field of Ancient Studies covering interdisciplinary research questions. It consists in publishing the award-winning study in the series “Philippika” and covering all costs related to the printing and distribution of a monograph up to 400 pages (book format 17 x 24 cm) or 300 pages (book format A4), including black-and-white plates and hardcover binding. The prize is presented at a special public ceremony. The recipient is expected to present a summary of his or her dissertation in a talk aimed at a general audience.

The next Philippika Prize will be awarded for the years 2022/2023. The deadline for applications is yet to be announced.
