Japonica Humboldtiana, published since 1997, is an international journal of Japanese studies at Berlin Humboldt University. Featuring articles from the areas of Japanese history, history of thought as well as cultural history, it documents the academic work pursued at the Humboldt Centre. It also includes external contributions from scholars with a shared thematic orientation. Special emphasis is given to philological work, including annotated translations of pre-modern materials.
