Wolfenbütteler Notizen zur Buchgeschichte
The Wolfenbütteler Notizen zur Buchgeschichte, edited since 1976 by the Herzog August Library (HAB) in Wolfenbüttel, emerged from an initiative of the Wolfenbütteler Arbeitskreis für Bibliotheks-, Buch-, und Mediengeschichte (Wolfenbüttel Study Group on the History of Libraries, Books, and Media) still existing today, although with a change of name. Today, they usually appear twice a year, including articles from the research area on the history of books and libraries, mostly, but not exclusively, from the German language area. Topics range from research on book covers, history of printing, book trade, publishing, libraries, collections, bibliographical studies, building of libraries, to theoretical essays on new media. Each issue contains, on average, two reviews on especially interesting new editions from these areas.
