Studies on Islamic Cultural and Intellectual History
The series Studies on Islamic Cultural and Intellectual History was founded in 2015 by Noorhaidi Hasan (Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga) as well as Irene Schneider and Fritz Schulze (both Georg-August-University Göttingen). In this series original research in the fields of cultural studies and humanities concerning the Islamic World will be published. The focus is set on religion, culture, history and especially interdisciplinary studies. The geographical scope intentionally reaches beyond the Near Eastern world and also comprises the so-called periphery and the Islamic diaspora. The series is open to academic publications from scholars of other institutions than the two universities mentioned above.
