The social and economic history of East Central Europe - the area between the Baltic Sea, the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea - shows remarkable similarities and differences in comparison with developments in Western Europe and Russia. The series publishes the results of German historiography, which has recently returned to the study of socio-economic processes, as well as outstanding works from East Central European scholars on the topic. Contributions will be in German or English.
