“Contributions to the Annual Scientific Conference of the Association of Slavists (Polyslav)” is the official periodical of the Association of Slavists Polyslav. Polyslav publishes research articles that deal with the analysis and description of Slavic languages and literature and are of general interest to Slavists.
The present proceedings were presented at the 24th Polyslav conference, which was held online due to the pandemic, and contain 40 papers in eight Slavic languages (Bulgarian, Polish, Russian, Ruthenian, Serbian, Slovenian, Ukrainian and Slovak), four in English and one in German. All 45 papers – covering topics as diverse as the interpretation of possessive pronouns in Russian as a heritage language, the core of Polish and Belarussian linguistic consciousness, a comparison of Slovenian dictionaries of synonyms, and linguistic and pragmalinguistic aspects of business negotiations – meet basic publishing standards and international editorial conventions, including double-blind peer review. A total of 65 reviewers – 64 from Europe and 1 from the USA – guarantee a high scientific level of the published articles.
