Wolfenbütteler Renaissance-Mitteilungen
On behalf of the Wolfenbütteler Arbeitskreis für Renaissanceforschung
edited by Marc Föcking, Jürgen Leonhardt, Ulrich Pfisterer and Anja Wolkenhauer
The Wolfenbütteler Renaissance-Mitteilungen, founded in 1976, are the publication medium of the Wolfenbütteler Arbeitskreis für Renaissanceforschung [Wolfenbüttel Study Group in Renaissance Research] and have an interdisciplinary and international orientation. The study group was connected to the Herzog August Library because of its unique inventory of sources on the cultural history of the Early Modern Age in order to revive Renaissance studies in Germany. The study group has given itself the central task to regularly report on and critically deal with important academic new editions in the area of international Renaissance and research on humanism in the Wolfenbütteler Renaissance-Mitteilungen. Apart from that, it organizes academic colloquia on fostering and promoting research on the Renaissance.
Therefore, the journal perceives itself primarily as a medium for reviews but also publishes research contributions, reports on institutes and institutions for research on the Renaissance, on conferences, announcements of research projects and the like.
