The series studia formosiana, published by the Research Unit for Taiwanese Culture and Literature at Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany, was established in 2003. It is currently the only academic monograph series in Europe exclusively devoted to Taiwanese languages, literature, history and culture and to research from Taiwan in these subject areas. The number of issues is kept small, to about one issue per year, in order to ensure and maintain a high standard of academic quality.
No further volumes will be published in this series.
