Semitica Viva
Edited by Otto Jastrow
Semitica Viva is a monograph series whose aim is the description and documentation of non-written Semitic languages and dialects. They comprise the four subgroups of Semitic still spoken today: Aramaic, Arabic, South Arabian and Ethiopian. Some of the dialects described are on the verge of extinction. The preferred format of the series is either a grammar or a comprehensive description with grammar, texts and vocabulary. For some of the recent volumes the respective sound files are accessible on the internet. Sabar, Yona
