The main objective of the series Iranica is the publication of recent scholarly findings in the two chief areas of work in the field of Iranian Studies: Iran in the pre-Islamic, Zoroastrian era, and Iran in Islamic times. The volumes appeared so far are the result of individual research or collective projects and include both linguistic, philological and editorial works and subject areas in religious history and history of law, literary and cultural studies, all of them in the two large central areas of work mentioned above. Thematic focuses are Avestan Studies, research on Zoroastrianism, Pahlavi Studies and Pahlavi literature, Iranian religions and legal works, texts in the Pahlavi cursive script, Manichaeism, Iranian religions and legal systems, New Iranian languages. Judaeo-Persian, the emergence of New Persian and Persian literature.
