This series of monographs has been engaged in the history, contemporary history and politics of modern Greece and Cyprus for 20 years. In the case of Greece, the series begins with Greece’s struggle for independence in 1821, and extends to the present day. In the case of Cyprus, it starts with the year 1878, when the island became a British protectorate. Authors are from Greece, Cyprus, Britain, Israel, France and Germany. Thus the texts are written in English, German and French. PELEUS is the only interdisciplinary series of this kind in Europe.
